Sharp is an Rochester native who studied clarinet at Hochstein School of Music. She also played piano and cello. Sharp's love for theater in high school was what led her to the Boston Conservatory, where she was given a scholarship. Following her graduation from Cum Laude with a B.F.A. from the Conservatory, Sharp set her goal to perform on stage. She appeared in the Broadway National Tour of Carousel. Sharp was also in Abyssinia as well as Aida in addition to Thunder Knockin, Jitney and The Producers. She was even a reading partner of August Wilson's Come and Gone. Sharp has other ideas which she's working on alongside her work for the stage and screen. An entire recording is in the works. She performs. Sharp likes to stay fit and always in top condition by pursuing Krav Maga and boxing. Sharp has a family home located in Los Angeles.
