She's reported on sports for some of some of the most prominent media around the globe. She worked for The Washington Post nearly a decade covering Grand Slam Tennis and Grand Slam Football as well playing basketball in multiple Olympics. In 2004 Nichols moved on to ESPN for nine years where she won two Emmy Awards and appeared on several of the network's top watched programs, like SportsCenter and NFL Countdown. She also served as an on-line reporter for Monday Night Football broadcasts. Her next move was to CNN as well as Turner Sports. Unguarded: Rachel Nichols hosted her own show on CNN International. The show drew more than one-billion viewers in all over the world. In the course of this broadcast, Nichols covered TNT's NBA broadcasts, including the playoffs, regular season, and the All-Star broadcast teams. Also, she has worked at TBS as a reporter for baseball and golf broadcasts. CBS broadcasted the Final Four. It is the only nomination in 42 years of the honor for a female among more than 200 nominated contenders.
